Once a claim has been deleted, invoices attached to the claim will be available for selection in the New Medicare Online Claims window. Once deleted, all information about this claim is removed from the database.
The Claim Delete Reason window is used when deleting a submitted claim from the claims list, only if the claim was submitted on the same day as the deletion.

A reason for the deletion of a claim must be entered. Note: A submitted claim can only be deleted on the same day as it was submitted. Medicare must be notified by phone if the claim is to be deleted and the reason entered. If Medicare provide a reference for the deletion, this should be entered in this field for future reference. This must take place before the claim is deleted in Bluechip. the OK button is disabled until the check box is selected, indicating that you have contacted Medicare to arrange the same-day deletion. |
