A Medicare ruling states that patients wishing to submit claims using Medical Patient Claiming functionality must have a Date of Birth entered in their record. Failure to do so will result in the following message appearing whenever an attempt to make a claim is made.

Note also that this message will appear if you are trying to process a claim for a patient, when the claimant is the Parent of the patient, and the Parent does not have a Date of Birth recorded.
