Assessment > Distress (K10) Assessment (via the Clinical Window)

The Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K-10) Assessment is available to all patients, and allows you to assess a patient's mental health.

From the patient's record, select Assessment > Distress (K10) Assessment. The Distress (K10) Assessment window appears.

Ask your patient each of the questions presented, recording their responses on the form provided.

Depending on your patient's responses, some questions may become unavailable. For example, in the image above, the patient responded "None of the time" to question 2. As such, Question 3 became redundant, and is therefore automatically disabled.

Each question must be responded to before you can save the assessment to the patient's record.

Click Save to save the completed assessment to the patient's record. Saved assessments are added to the History list to the right of this window, and a note is added to the patient's Progress Notes.
