Network Options

Tools > Options > Network Tab

The Network tab of Clinical Options allows you to setup Clinical to use one or more Network paths for accessing the patient databases. Access to Options is provided via user permissions.

Patient File Directory

This is the path where the patient data files are stored on your network. Normally this is a path to a folder on the Server. You can either type a full network path (for example '\\SERVER\DATA\Medical Director\'), a mapped path (for example 'M:\Medical Director\') or click the Browse button and use Network Neighbourhood to select the computer and folder to use. If you are unsure about this setting, check with your network administrator.

If your computer is a stand-alone computer, (that is not connected to a network), this is usually the C:\Program Files\Health Communication Network\Medical Director folder. Other folders or drives may be used in some installations.

SQL Connection - Server

Displays your SQL server settings. To modify these settings use the configuration option in Maintenance.

SQL Connection - Database

Displays your SQL database settings. To modify these settings use the configuration option in Maintenance.
