Scanning of images or documents requires that a TWAIN compliant (certified drivers for your operating system) scanner is connected to the computer. Clinical uses the TWAIN interface to talk to the scanner, so the scanner must be TWAIN compliant (with drivers certified for your operating system).
Software
The software required to control and operate the scanner must have also been installed on your computer. This software is commonly referred to as a Device Driver. It is developed by the manufacturer and is supplied with your scanner.
Install the scanner software to your computer using the manufacturer's recommended method. Check that your scanner is working correctly through Windows. If you can successfully scan through windows, you will be able to scan in Clinical.
