There are occasions where after recording Progress Notes, the notes are not saved, including;
Where the practitioner has elected to discard the Notes on closing the patient's record.
Where the practitioner has elected to manually delete the Notes.
You may be able to recover lost Progress Notes using the Progress Notes Recovery utility, as explained following.
To use the Progress Notes Recovery Utility:
Locate 
		 and double-click the MedicalDirector 
		 Maintenance icon  from your desktop. 
		 The MedicalDirector Maintenance window 
		 appears.

		 appears.
Select 
		 the Database 
		 Tasks > Clinical menu item.
		
		
Double-click 
		 
		
		(Optional) If this is the first time you have tried to run 
		 the Progress Notes Recovery utility during this session of working 
		 in MedicalDirector Maintenance, you will be prompted to select 
		 a Configuration, and enter your Username 
		 and Password.
The 
		 Progress Notes Recovery 
		 window appears.
		
		
Select the date on which the Progress Note was originally created. Any discarded or deleted Progress Notes from that day will appear.
Select the Progress Notes record to be restored.
Click 
		  to view the Progress Note 
		 entry.
 to view the Progress Note 
		 entry.
Click 
		  to 
		 recover the Progress Note entry.
 to 
		 recover the Progress Note entry.
Click OK to close the Progress Notes Recovery utility.
