eOrders - Prior Orders

Correspondence > Pathology Request (via the Clinical Window)

Correspondence > Cytology Request (via the Clinical Window)

Previous orders can be monitored via the eOrders module (as explained below), or via the Outstanding Requests list. Note that the eOrders module is the only location where you can view a result associated with its order (i.e. result-matching) - this association cannot be viewed from within the Outstanding Requests window.

To view the status of prior orders, locate and click Prior eOrders at the lower-left of the window.

 

The Prior eOrders window appears. Requested test are listed in the upper section of this window, with details of any results associated with the selected test displayed in the lower half.

Status Definitions

Pending Collection

The test has been transmitted/printed from the practice.

At Lab

The sample has been collected by the laboratory, and is currently being processed.

Reported

The final result has been sent/delivered to the practice by the laboratory.

Checked

The practitioner has taken some action on the result via the Holding File.

Discarded

The practitioner is confident that the laboratory will never process the order, and as such the order was discarded.
